Annapolis Sailing Conditions
September/October is the most beautiful time of year in Annapolis. The water temperature averages 75E F (24E C) and the air temperature averages a moderate 71E (22E C). Wind velocity will be driven by weather systems, but averages 9-10 knots in September. Technically September/October falls within hurricane season, but the likelihood of a hurricane reaching as far north as the Chesapeake Bay is very small. Tides are present, but very minimal (1-2 knots).
