Charter Boat Information

A pool of approximately 15 equivalent, race-ready Snipes with pole launchers (25000-27999 series) will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Charter Fee will be US$500 plus $75 for insurance. In addition, a $250 damage deposit will be held by the regatta organizers until the charter boat has been returned intact. Priority will be given to competitors traveling from outside of North America. Receipt of a deposit in the amount of $325 ($250 damage deposit + $75 Insurance fee) will secure a competitors place in the charter queue. Individual boats will be assigned by lottery. Charterers must be a member of US Sailing or the equivalent National Sailing Federation.

Lottery Pool Snipes:

In addition, a number of later-model Snipes will be offered by the regatta organizers at higher prices on a first come, first served basis. If a specific boat is already reserved upon receipt of entry form, your request will be placed in the lottery pool. A partial list is below. An updated list will published on the Snipe Web page (www.snipe.org) or can be faxed on request. Restrictions on modification of ALL BOATS:
No permanently attached hardware (cleats, blocks etc.) may be moved; no drilling, fairing or sanding (except centerboards) is permitted.

Insurance will be arranged through US Sailing. Please indicate on the entry form if you are interested in chartering a boat. Please indicate whether you would like to obtain a lottery boat or a specific later model boat (please include number) on the entry form. If no preference is specified, entry into the lottery pool will be assumed.
