Open to:

• Skipper must be paid up and in good standing with his fleet and with SCIRA and must have taken part in at least 5 official point score races or 5 sanctioned regatta races during the current season.
• An active boat can only be counted in 1 fleet
• Entries must be fleet champion and/or top-ranking skippers and alternates and must present their entries signed by the Fleet Captain.
• The current Commodore of SCIRA (if a US resident) automatically qualifies for the Crosby Series.
• The 2^nd and 3^rd place finishers in each of the current year’s district championships automatically qualify for the Crosby Series without further requirements as to fleet membership, activity, etc.
• The host fleet may qualify 2 skippers for each 5 active Snipes
• All boats and sails, except as noted, are to be measured and weighed by the host club under a competent committee. Boats that have been measured and passed twice at the Nationals, or have Class Certificates indicating approval by an approved measurer, will not require measurement , unless some changes affecting the measurements have been made since the boat was last measured. In any case, the measurement committee is empowered to measure any boat at any time during or immediately after the Nationals.
• Each boat must have a current SCIRA decal forward of the transom on outside of starboard side.

Regatta Conditions:

• The qualifying races for the Heinzerling series shall consist of 4 races scheduled for 2 days.

• If 4 racescannot be completed in 2 days, on 3 races shall be sailed and every effort shall be made to complete them in 3 days.

• If 4 races are completed, 1 may be thrown out in determining eligibility for the Heinzerling Series.

• If only 3 races are completed, all shall count. In the Crosby Series, entrants shall be divided into 4 fleets, which shall be paired to race against each other as follows:

• In the event there are approximately 100 entrants, or more, they will be divided into six equal fleets
• Starts may be 10 or 15 minutes apart
• Heinzerling competitors who have pre-qualified directly from their districts and the current National Champion may sail in this series

Trophy Responsibility and Conditions: Name of boat, skipper and year engraved, then to be held by the winner’s fleet until August 1^st of the succeeding year; returnable to Executive Director or as directed
