Andrew Pimental and Carol (Newman) Cronin won three of the five races. These two co-skippered the event, to give Carol some tiller time for the upcoming Women's Worlds. The no co-skippering rule was probably put on the books to keep crews from finding out how much room there is in the back of a Snipe! Local sailor Lee Griffith teamed up with Cottage Park ace crew Melitta King to finish second, in a close duel with John and Maggie Manderson that came down to the last beat of the last race. And the usual Snipe camaraderie was in full evidence at the beach in the rain after dinner on Saturday night.

Carol did a great job on the write up and I will add the results of the Surf City Invitational and New Jersey State Championship. I would only re- emphasize the fantastic social calendar including all-you-can-eat mussels marinara, italian feast, dancing on the YC porch to live music (Hal Davis and the Doctors of Rhythm). This was a multi-class extravaganza with Lightnings, Jet 14, Mariner, Laser, Laser Radial, Sunfish, and Optimists spread over three courses at once. It was a sailing fest!
Below are the scores for the top ten. Note that the event was not SCIRA sanctioned and was scored using Low Point Scoring System Rule A2 of the RRS.
