2009 Norwegian Nationals Print E-mail

Norwegian snipe championship 2009, sailed at Vestfjordens Seilforening, fleet 195 Snarøya Snipeklubb, ( Oslo)

    We had marvelous sunshine,  temperatures in very high 80 ++,  High pressure over head, an unusual easterly of 4-7 knots, varying considerably, and on Saturday there was very little left.  So we got 2 races Thursday evening, 2 races friday day, that was all.   4 races was the minimum required for sailing a championship.
49 snipes on the list including some Swedes.  We had hoped for near 70 snipes....  On  Friday we  had the annual meeting of SCIRA Norway,   Birger Jansen was re-elected National secretary.   And a good time was had by all !
