Restoration by Kazuki Masuda of Makinohara, Shizouka Japan

Plywood Snipe #21335, built by Murai Yachts in Kobe, Japan about 1974, has been beautifully restored and updated by Kazuki Masuda of Makinohara, Shizouka Japan. Restoration started in 2002 and took Kazuki his restored Snipe for her first sail on July 26, 2008. Masuda and crew expect to compete in the Japan Masters August 9,10 in Gamagouri. Note the use of buoyancy bags to increase floatation as required by Snipe rules, and transom drain holes for sail-away capability.
