1964 SNIPE, ALL WOOD, everything!
When we got this boat 5 years ago, it looked like a piece of  fine 
furniture. After sitting at the dock  all summer for 3 years, and under 
a tarp in the back yard for 2 years, it needs lots of restoring. 2 new 
babies and a new house, is the excuse I'm using for the neglect I'm 
guilty of. The insides are still really nice, and just need a 
varnishing. The top decking is rough (delamed in places) and should be 
replaced with new plywood, and varnished to get it to look like the
beautiful thing it was a few years back I  sanded it, filled the delamed
layers with marine filler and painted it white. It is otherwise solid and
I hope someone will take an interest in restoring this wonderful boat. 
It is on a tilt trailer that is in great condition. It is located in 
southern Maine, on the N.H. border. 1 hr and 15 minutes from Boston.
I paid a fairly high price for it but will take any reasonable offer 
now( give me a little something). Take it with or without the trailer.

Wanted: Rudder and pintles for 1960's Lofland fiberglass Snipe #15592.
The old one was lost during a capsize this spring.  Please respond to

WANTED: Information on whereabouts or owner of Snipe #7370. 
This is a "Mills" Snipe built in the 1940s in Clearwater, Florida. I last
sailed the boat at AYC (Fleet #330), and sold it to a gentlemen located
in the Atlanta area in the early 1980s. The boat was last finished with
beige painted hull to the chine then natural with natural mahogany deck. I would
like to contact the owner regarding purchasing at a reasonable price for 
restoration and nostalgia. This was my first Snipe as a teenager. Contact

WANTED: Information on whereabouts or owner contact for Snipe #6715
"Tiger," built 1947 for Jack Wirt/Miami by Russell's Boat Works, Miami.
This boat was last known to be located in Grand Rapids, MI (Fleet #137)
about late 1960s or early 1970s, and could still be stored in someone's
garage in MI, if not dismantled. Originally finished with all-natural
wood hull and deck with maximum dimension cockpit, and painted "tigers
teeth" (like 1940s fighter planes) on bow. Would like to contact owner
regarding purchase at reasonable price for restoration and nostalgia.
