This started out as a full restoration of a Snipe built in the Bomar area
of Denver in the early eighties. It quickly progressed into a custom one
off mahogany Snipe with inlaid teak strip deck, etc.
The hull conforms to the Snipe Association measurements for
dimensions and minimum weight.

1945, hull (I believe). I'm the 3rd owner and tried to restore it but
lost interest and time. It has new McGregor sails with original mast,
tiller, rudder & brass hardware. It also has a "jerry-rigged" trailer.
This boat needs major TLC however I had it on the water back in 95 and it
looked beautiful! You would either have to put an epoxy shell over the wood/
fiberglassed hull or replank the hull to sail her along with some mast issues
that need to be addressed. The boat sits in south western New Hampshire and I'm

Chubasco; fiberglass hull and deck (hull faded but sound) with
thru-deck compass; teak splash and rub rails; aluminum daggerboard and
wooden rudder, tiller and tiller extension; aluminum mast and boom (mast is
tapered and has a built-it sail winch). Mast bender, vang and detachable
wind vane included. One set of sails by Vector (sails are in excellent
shape, used approximately six times, never abused and always stored in my
closet) with tapered fiberglass battens. The trailer is galvanized steel,
ferriable but needs work. A complete brand new axle, including new hubs and
tires is included with the trailer but not installed. This boat has not been
used in a long time and needs lots of elbow grease to make it shine again.

WANTED: Information on whereabouts or owner contact for Snipe #6715
"Tiger," built 1947 for Jack Wirt/Miami by Russell's Boat Works, Miami.
This boat was last known to be located in Grand Rapids, MI (Fleet #137)
about late 1960s or early 1970s, and could still be stored in someone's
garage in MI, if not dismantled. Originally finished with all-natural
wood hull and deck with maximum dimension cockpit, and painted "tigers
teeth" (like 1940s fighter planes) on bow. Would like to contact owner
regarding purchase at reasonable price for restoration and nostalgia.
